Summary: The Finance Officer role involves processing supplier invoices, staff expense claims, and preparing various financial reports within a banking or financial institution. Candidates should have relevant accounting experience and be comfortable in a temporary position that may extend or become permanent. Key Responsibilities:
- Processing of supplier invoices.
- Processing of staff expense claims.
- Preparation of journals.
- Assist with daily reporting including nostro reconciliations and liquidity reporting.
- Preparation of various monthly/quarterly reports for UK regulators & Head Office.
- Support on tax reporting (Corporation Tax, VAT and BBSI).
- Support on key projects including UAT.
- Comfortable supporting a wide range of stakeholders across the bank.
- Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank.
- Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures.
Key Skills:
- Accounting experience in a banking or financial services organisation.
- T24 (core banking system) experience would be an advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Quick learner.
- Accurate with attention to detail, diligent, and organised approach to work.
- Good communication skills.
- Good team player.
