Summary: The Finance Business Partner role involves providing oversight and direction to ensure effective financial support for decision-making and performance management of costs. This position requires engagement with senior management and stakeholders, as well as the preparation of financial accounts and audits. The role is based in London and operates on a hybrid working model for an initial 6-month contract. The candidate must be a qualified accountant with experience in complex environments, particularly in government accounting and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides guidance on the application of governance within area
- Act as the Chief Financial Officer’s representative at monthly review meetings
- Review any financial endorsement of Change and Investment Papers, challenging all risks
- Providing assurance to senior management that reported expenditure and contract payments are appropriate
- Provide input to development of policies and Enterprise reporting and planning development
- Provide guidance on appropriate IFRS accounting treatment of transactions (prepayment / accruals/ liabilities)
- Oversee the month end financial accounts close
- Prepare the accounts and plan for year-end audit
Key Skills:
- Qualified Accountant with experience of operating in a complex environment
- Knowledge of Government accounting requirements
- Knowledge of accounting systems and the ability to develop and manage off-systems analysis
- Experience of driving output focused activity-based budgets and forecasts
- Stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, communicate and develop consensus with both internal and external stakeholders

Finance Business Partner London (Hybrid working) 6 Month Contract £525 per day (Umbrella) ARM are delighted to be supporting one of our clients with the recruitment on a Finance Business Partner on an initial 9 month contract. As Finance Business Partner you will provide oversight, control and direction and ensure appropriate Finance support to promote effective decision making and performance management of Direct and Indirect Costs.
