Summary: The Finance Officer role in Bristol involves providing essential support to the Human Resources team within a local authority. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Workforce and Head of HR with budget preparation, monitoring, and financial analysis.
  • Coordinate and contribute to HR-related projects and ensure procurement contract compliance.
  • Manage and maintain HR data systems to produce accurate reports and compliance documentation.
  • Provide guidance and resolve escalated issues for internal/external stakeholders.
  • Line manage the HR Support Assistant while ensuring adherence to HR policies and relevant legislation.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in financial monitoring and budget coordination, ideally within a public sector or HR environment.
  • Strong data and systems skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets and databases.
  • Project and stakeholder management experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving and advisory skills.
  • Supervisory or line management experience.

Salary (Rate): 20.00
