Summary: The Finance Officer role in Bristol involves providing essential support to the Human Resources team within a local authority. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Workforce and Head of HR with budget preparation, monitoring, and financial analysis.
- Coordinate and contribute to HR-related projects and ensure procurement contract compliance.
- Manage and maintain HR data systems to produce accurate reports and compliance documentation.
- Provide guidance and resolve escalated issues for internal/external stakeholders.
- Line manage the HR Support Assistant while ensuring adherence to HR policies and relevant legislation.
Key Skills:
- Experience in financial monitoring and budget coordination, ideally within a public sector or HR environment.
- Strong data and systems skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets and databases.
- Project and stakeholder management experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and advisory skills.
- Supervisory or line management experience.
