Summary: The Finance Manager role in Hemel Hempstead is a 12-month fixed-term contract focused on robust accounting and financial reporting. The position requires a technically strong individual to manage monthly reporting, maintain general ledger records, and liaise with auditors. Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of Management Information Packs and disclosure packs, ensuring timely reporting
- Maintenance of general ledger records, including preparing journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Accounting for finance leases and operating leases
- Support preparation of monthly and quarterly budget processes for P&L and Cashflow
- Liaising with external auditors to provide audit evidence
- Support internal audit queries
- Embed key financial control principles, policies, and governance
- Guide continuous improvement activities in reporting and planning processes
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles
- Experience in a small, start-up environment
- Hands-on approach to financial management
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
