Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on general financial policy within the Institution;
- Maintain the financial accounts of the Institution in accordance with the charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) and UK GAAP;
- Prepare the consolidated statutory annual accounts for the Institution, trading subsidiaries, and Alumni;
- Prepare the annual budget in consultation with the Bursar;
- Monitor income and expenditure in relation to budget and present termly management accounts to the Board of Governors;
- Prepare students' bills and collect all fees and extras;
- Pay all salaries and wages, including PAYE, Superannuation, National Insurance Contributions, and ensure compliance with regulations for P11D benefits in kind and PAYE settlement agreement;
- Administer pension schemes for both teaching and non-teaching staff;
- Scrutinise and pass for payment all invoices received in the Institution;
- Keep statistical records;
- Prepare forecasts for the future financial performance of the Institution;
- Advise on bursary funds and administer the assessments of income and assets prior to making bursary awards in conjunction with external advisors.

- Professional Qualification: CA/ACCA/CIMA qualified;
