  • Analyze financial impacts of projects for inclusion in business cases.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced finance management role, particularly with Transport & Warehouse contracts.
  • Experience in identifying cost efficiencies and potential savings.
  • Strong understanding of open & closed book contracts.
  • Previous professional experience in a reporting role.
  • Ability to build strong business relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ideally fully CIMA or ACCA qualified, or actively studying towards qualification.

Job Description

Are you a Finance Manager looking for the next step in your career? Are you accustomed to working closely with operational teams to produce reports and commercial KPIs? Do you enjoying engaging in customer meetings to help identify commercial efficiencies? Were currently on the search for a Finance Manager on a full-time, permanent basis for our site in Avonmouth (fully site-based) to support our new business win. Heading up the GXO Finance team at the site, you will deliver best-in-class clear, credible reporting on well-understood results to both GXO and our customers. This covers weekly flashes, period reporting, forecasting and budgeting exercises. This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00. We do ask for some flexibility with this being a management role, this is logistics after all! You will be working for an accredited employer of CIMA and ACCA.

What Youll Do On a Typical Day

  • Ensuring robustness of accounting within GXO and visibility of results to the customer through weekly and period reporting
  • Confirm clarity of balance sheets across each area of the contract to present to customer and to satisfy internal SOX requirements
  • Weekly and monthly customer reviews and production of periodic/monthly review packs
  • Lead financial controls regarding Gainshare and Gainshare elements of the contract.
  • Work with the operational team to ensure that maximum is delivered in line with contract
  • Be part of change team by analysing any financial impacts of projects for inclusion into business cases to the business

What You Need To Succeed At GXO

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced finance management role with experienceof both Transport & Warehouse contracts
  • Experienced in finding cost efficiencies and potential savings
  • Strong understanding of open & closed book contracts (where applicable)
