Summary: The Finance Manager role is a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Andover, Hampshire, focusing on overseeing financial operations and ensuring statutory compliance within a UK manufacturing site. Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing internal controls, compliance, and group financial reporting standards
- Providing key financial insights and recommendations to the General Manager and group stakeholders
- Ensuring the company’s legal and statutory obligations are met, including Company Secretary duties
- Managing the monthly close process, including reconciliations and payroll checks
- Preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Overseeing the accuracy of cost centre allocations and customer/product margin analysis
- Leading and supporting an offshore finance team
- Liaising with auditors and preparing statutory accounts
- Ensuring tax compliance across VAT, Corporation Tax, and other regulatory requirements
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong technical accounting expertise
- Prior experience in manufacturing
- Excellent analytical skills
- Confident grasp of ERP systems
- Ability to manage reporting in a matrixed environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
