Finance Business Partner (Inside IR35)

Contract Term:12 Months

Contracting Authority: Bank of England

Location: 2 days per week London, Threadneedle Street Building

The Finance & Performance Directorate has three Divisions, Finance Business Partnering, Financial Reporting & Control, and Financial Planning and Analysis.

 

As a Finance Business Partner, your main responsibilities will be: 

  • This is a Finance Business Partner role to deliver key financial outcomes to support the Central Services transformation programme  
  • Central Services DG includes the following Directorates: Technology, Central Operations (Property, Security, Procurement), People, and Change & Planning. Also, the programme includes the DAT Directorate (Data & Analytics Team) 
  • A key role in providing effective financial management and control of the project costs
  • You will be working to define the costs to be recharge for specific services provided by Central Services and DAT
  • You will be supporting the identification of costs and savings across the transformation activities across the different Central Services Directorates and
  • DAT
  • You will be responsible along with the business to determine the TCO (Total Cost Ownership) for the different Technology services 
  • You will be working with the different programme stakeholders to ensure key spend categories baseline to determine savings and efficiencies derived from the transformation activities  
  • You will help to determine specific ratios aiming to show how Central Services high impact service time is being reduced through management decision in efficiencies and productivity
  • You will become a trusted and credible advisor to the programme directors and Executive Director sponsors providing financial insight and contributing to decision making.

 

Essential:

  • SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role; as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks
  • Capacity to translate finance data in a commercial language for effective communication.
  • Significant experience of stakeholder management
  • Be able to engage with, build effective relationships with influence and Challenge stakeholders from across the Programme and DAT
  • Experience of business partnering centralised support functions including
  • technology and property services
  • An understanding and experience of working for public sector or similar organisations and the different financial and business focus this results in process optimisation and improvement.
  • Strong excel skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage in a fast-paced environment with multiple deliverables and ongoing change.
  • The ability to operate autonomously with as minimal guidance and support as possible
