Summary: The Finance Analyst role at Assystem Energy & Infrastructure involves providing financial analysis and insights to enhance performance and support strategic decision-making. The position is based at a customer site in Derby and is offered on a 9-12 month contract through PAYE via Umbrella, classified as inside IR35. The role requires collaboration with the Business Support Team to ensure timely delivery of financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Business Support Team to ensure timely delivery of reporting, reconciliations, and other activities.
• Prepare month-end statutory actuals and communicate issues with HQ, Finance Service Centre, or external auditors.
• Provide decision support and scenario analysis as requested by the Business and Business Partners.
• Lead the preparation of forecasts, including setting timetables and preparing reporting packs.
• Maximize the use of standardized models, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
• Support the Improvement Journey to Process Excellence and engage in improvement activities.
• Participate in driving the Finance Service Delivery Model for business growth and efficiency.

Key Skills:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred).
• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
• Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and cost accounting.
• Knowledge of financial systems (SAP/HFM).
• Experience in contract review processes.
• Basic experience in preparation of Business Evaluations/business cases.
