Summary: The Finance Administrator role is a Modern Apprenticeship position within the Cashroom team at Shepherd & Wedderburn LLP in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will receive training and support while completing a Digital Applications SCQF Level 6 Diploma over a two-year apprenticeship. Responsibilities include managing financial records, preparing reports, and supporting credit control efforts. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of the firm’s cheque banking process, including electronic filing of copy cheques and reconciling cheque logs.
- Providing support for the team’s electronic filing requirements.
- Producing and distributing regular reports, including daily transaction daybooks and monthly account reports.
- Reviewing client disbursements and submitting follow-up requests to the billing team.
- Providing administrative support to the credit control team for debt collection.
- Attending team meetings and contributing to discussions on Cashroom procedures.
- Handling ad-hoc tasks and projects requiring administrative support.
