Summary: The Finance Administrator role is a Modern Apprenticeship position within the Cashroom team at Shepherd & Wedderburn LLP in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will receive training and support while completing a Digital Applications SCQF Level 6 Diploma over a two-year apprenticeship. Responsibilities include managing financial records, preparing reports, and supporting credit control efforts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and submission of the firm’s cheque banking process, including electronic filing of copy cheques and reconciling cheque logs.
  • Providing support for the team’s electronic filing requirements.
  • Producing and distributing regular reports, including daily transaction daybooks and monthly account reports.
  • Reviewing client disbursements and submitting follow-up requests to the billing team.
  • Providing administrative support to the credit control team for debt collection.
  • Attending team meetings and contributing to discussions on Cashroom procedures.
  • Handling ad-hoc tasks and projects requiring administrative support.
