Summary: The Field Applications Scientist at Revvity will focus on maximizing commercial success through sales and support of liquid handling and automation technologies in the UK and Ireland. The role involves customer training, assay consultation, and collaboration with sales teams to drive new business and enhance customer relationships. Candidates should possess hands-on laboratory experience and a strong understanding of liquid handling workflows. This position is hybrid, requiring both field and office work at the Alderley Park site in Macclesfield.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the UK and Ireland life science and applied genomics sales teams in driving new business and managing existing customer requirements.
  • Execute demonstrations of Revvity’s liquid handling platforms including NGS in support of pre-sales activity.
  • Assist sales team in closing large and influential opportunities.
  • Provide product training to the field sales team as new features/functionality become available.
  • Coordinate with Product Management to identify and incorporate new product enhancements.
  • Analyze data and review results to support the FSE’s in identifying root causes of technical issues.
  • Characterize the external market by performing competitive assessments for the region.

Key Skills:

  • BSc in biomedical sciences/biochemistry or similar; advanced degree advantageous.
  • Extensive experience with liquid handling and automation robotics.
  • Experience with associated applications such as NGS and ELISA.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to travel, with an expectation of 60% travel time.
