Summary: The Finance Consultant - Process and Operational Excellence role is a six-month fixed-term contract based in London, focusing on supporting a global finance transformation initiative. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Transformation Director to advance the project beyond its discovery phase, ensuring alignment across regions and functions while delivering significant benefits to the group's operating profit. This position requires strong stakeholder engagement and financial insight to drive strategic decision-making and continuous improvement across various business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation and detailed reporting of the value case for the Process & Operational Excellence initiative.
  • Implement robust governance structures and establish key performance indicators to track the investment case.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to ensure accountability for achieving defined value case outcomes.
  • Provide critical financial insights to support informed, strategic decisions within the transformation programme.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of risks and opportunities with regular reviews for proactive management.
  • Set high standards for financial analysis in investment proposals, ensuring alignment with Group financial reporting.
  • Partner with senior leaders to agree on benefits delivery across regions and functions.
  • Collaborate with Indirect Procurement teams to optimise technology contracting, focusing on SAP S4/Hana.
  • Work with data owners to identify opportunities for improved data management and innovative usage.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in finance partnering and project financial management capabilities.
  • Oversee procurement, supply chain management, customer and revenue management, financial planning, and accounting controls.

Key Skills:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with extensive experience in project financial management.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to engage in challenging conversations.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and visual financial reporting.
  • Exceptional organisational and leadership abilities.
  • Experience collaborating with non-finance stakeholders to achieve strategic goals.
  • Attention to detail with a pragmatic approach to delivering value.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex situations.

Salary (Rate): 115,000
