Summary: The Scottish Government is seeking a highly skilled Family Solicitor to join the CERID team for a 6-month contract. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal advice relating to policies impacting children and young people.
- Draft legislation pertaining to redress for historical child abuse in care, looked after children, and youth justice.
- Support the implementation of The Promise, an Independent Review of the Scottish care system.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure a sound understanding of public and administrative law in Scotland.
- Communicate complex legal issues clearly and effectively to both colleagues and stakeholders.
Key Skills:

- Currently a Practising Solicitor, registered with the Law Society of Scotland.
