Summary: The AWS DevOps Engineer role involves setting up and managing AWS development and production environments, deploying third-party images, and configuring various AWS services. The position requires expertise in Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines, along with a focus on logging, monitoring, and secrets management. The role also includes providing AWS upskilling support to the broader engineering team. This position is hybrid, based in the Knutsford office, and is expected to last until December 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- AWS dev and prod environment set up.
- Build of 3rd party images based on flat binaries and instructions.
- Deployment of 3rd party images to ECS and configuration.
- Deployment of Barclays catalogue builds for AWS services including S3, KMS, EC2, API gateway etc.
- Configuration of logging and monitoring to cloud watch, app dynamics.
- Secrets management configuration.
- Configuration of connection to Mongo, MS SQL DB's.
- Configuration from AWS to on prem services (API’s, Db, etc).
- Provide and support AWS upskilling across broader engineering team.
- Configuration of CI/CD Pipelines.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) preferably Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Expertise in CI/CD Pipelines preferably Jenkins.
- Expertise in Blue/Green Deployments.
- Expertise in Implementation using AWS Service Catalogue.
- Expertise in LamdaAuthoriser, OAuth, Secrets Manager.
- Expertise in logging and monitoring solutions preferably Cloudwatch, Kibana, App Dynamics.
- Expertise working with RHEL, nginx, Tomcat, Apache, .NET etc.
