Summary: The ERP Implementation Manager will lead the deployment of a new ERP system (Dynamics 365) within a global advanced manufacturing organization. This hands-on role requires managing the full implementation lifecycle, ensuring stakeholder engagement, and focusing on manufacturing operations. The position is a 12-month contract based in Farnborough, requiring a hybrid working arrangement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ERP implementation within manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of the new ERP system.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, defining scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Establish and facilitate project steering committees and governance structures.
  • Work with stakeholders to create selection criteria, procure RFP's, review proposals and onboard suppliers.
  • Drive clear and effective communication across all business levels, ensuring stakeholder engagement and buy-in.
  • Take a hands-on approach to managing configuration, data migration strategy, testing phases, and go-live activities.
  • Focus specifically on modules impacting manufacturing operations, including inventory management.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and business users to ensure the solution meets requirements.

Key Skills:

  • Proven track record as an ERP Implementation Manager, successfully delivering full-lifecycle projects (initiation to post-go-live).
  • Strong experience with ERP systems within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment is essential.
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable ability to create detailed project plans, manage scope, and control budgets/timelines.
  • Experience establishing and managing project governance (e.g., steering committees).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging from shop floor to senior management.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach - you're not afraid to get involved in the detail.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly inventory management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; experience in start-up-like settings is beneficial.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and capable of obtaining BPSS+ security clearance (process will be managed).
