Summary: The role of an IT/EPOS Engineer involves supporting a national PC replacement project for a leading pub and restaurant operator across 385 sites in the UK. Engineers will be responsible for decommissioning legacy systems, installing new PCs, and ensuring all installations meet client standards. This field-based position requires travel within designated regions and adherence to a detailed deployment script. The contract duration is 4 to 6 weeks, starting in June.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow detailed procedures for legacy system decommissioning and new system setup
- Ensure installations meet client standards and complete all required testing and documentation
- Troubleshoot issues and escalate where necessary
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with EPOS or IT hardware installations
- Proven field engineering background with ability to work independently
- Full UK driving license and own vehicle (valid business insurance and MOT)
- Smart phone for sign off
- DBS check will be completed
