Summary: The FileNet Engineer will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining IBM FileNet P8 environments within a regulated financial services organization. This role involves working within a high-performing Agile delivery team to ensure compliance and operational requirements are met through seamless migrations and integrations. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office attendance twice a week, and is initially contracted for six months with potential for extension. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK, as sponsorship is not provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, configure, and maintain IBM FileNet P8 environments (Content Engine, Process Engine, Content Navigator).
- Deliver content and email migrations from legacy platforms into FileNet repositories.
- Design, build, and maintain workflows, document classes, and content routing.
- Execute and support email journaling and archiving solutions for compliance.
- Manage third-party integrations and dual-running environments.
- Support change execution, including validation, troubleshooting, and risk mitigation.
- Produce operational documentation, runbooks, and repeatable processes using JIRA and Confluence.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity teams in a regulated environment.
Key Skills:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a FileNet Engineer or similar ECM role.
- Strong technical knowledge of IBM FileNet P8 (Content Engine, Process Engine, Content Navigator).
- Proven track record in ECM migrations, integrations, and workflow design.
- Experience with email journaling and archiving solutions.
- Skilled in system configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and change management.
- Proficient in JIRA and Confluence with Agile/SAFe delivery experience.
- Familiarity with dual-running and legacy-to-target migrations.
- Useful but Not Essential: IBM Datacap experience.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for ECM deployments.
- Understanding of records management and retention policies.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and containerisation for FileNet lifecycle management.
