Summary: The Interim Enterprise Architect role involves driving strategic architecture for a large-scale financial transformation programme within a global consulting firm. The position requires aligning platform design, data architecture, and engineering delivery in a complex financial markets ecosystem. The role is hybrid, based in the City of London, and is a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in enterprise architecture within capital markets or asset/investment management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive strategic architecture across a financial transformation programme.
- Align long-term platform design, data architecture, and engineering delivery.
- Translate business strategy into scalable, secure technology platforms.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across C-level, product, data, and engineering teams.
- Shape enterprise-wide architecture strategy and future-state design.
Key Skills:
- Significant experience in enterprise architecture within capital markets or asset/investment management.
- Strong technical and strategic alignment capabilities across cloud-native (AWS) architectures.
- Proven experience in translating business strategy into technology platforms.
- Understanding of financial instruments, index data, and market analytics platforms.
- Experience in modernising platform infrastructure for financial benchmarking or data providers.
- AWS certification and architectural leadership in regulated environments.

Interim Enterprise Architect – Financial Services
Robert Half is recruiting on behalf of a global consulting firm for a contract Enterprise Architect to help drive strategic architecture across a large-scale financial transformation programme. The role focuses on aligning long-term platform design, data architecture, and engineering delivery across a complex financial markets ecosystem.
Key Details:
- Start: ASAP (2-week onboarding window)
- Location: Hybrid – City of London (1–2 days onsite)
- Duration: 6-month contract
- Rate: £700.00 per day via PAYE ( PLUS 12.07% holiday pay – PAYE with employer’s NI & tax deducted at source. No umbrella company admin fees.)
Requirements:
- Significant experience in enterprise architecture within capital markets or asset/investment management
- Strong technical and strategic alignment capabilities across cloud-native (AWS) architectures
- Proven experience translating business strategy into scalable, secure technology platforms
- Demonstrable understanding of financial instruments, index data, and market analytics platforms
- Confident stakeholder management across C-level, product, data, and engineering teams
- Experience shaping enterprise-wide architecture strategy and future-state design
Preferred:
- Experience with modernising platform infrastructure for financial benchmarking or data providers
- Exposure to real-time or high-performance computing environments
- AWS certification and architectural leadership in regulated environments
