Summary: The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role is a contract position focused on the design and development of electro-mechanical products for automated systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Design new components and support existing product updates
- Design intricate internal mechanisms for an electronic machine
- Work with operations, suppliers, and other teams
- Ensure design quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness
- Run design reviews, testing, and validation
- Manage documentation and change control processes
Key Skills:
- 5+ years in mechanical design, ideally in electromechanical systems
- Experience designing intricate internal mechanisms for complex machines
- Strong CAD skills (ProE/Creo or Solidworks)
- Knowledge of drive systems, mechanisms, and prototyping
- Experience with stress/tolerance analysis
- Good communicator, able to manage multiple projects
