Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and maintain strategic Energy Policy across the Estate.
  • Develop and promote corporate energy strategy in line with business needs.
  • Work closely with Facility Managers, Contract Managers, and Senior Managers to promote energy-saving solutions.
  • Develop energy awareness campaigns in line with client needs and EMCOR facilities staff.
  • Advise on energy strategy/solutions and develop these into working projects.
  • Provide full feasibility studies of costed initiatives/projects to reduce energy usage.
  • Implement and maintain processes and procedures to achieve economic cost in use.
  • Carry out macro Energy audits and make recommendations for change.
  • Maintain compliance with all energy regulations and consider renewable technologies for carbon reduction.

Key Skills:

  • Educated to Degree or Masters level in an appropriate energy-related qualification or equivalent in building services engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of techniques and technologies supporting efficient energy use in commercial, research, and defense buildings.
  • Competency in current benchmark techniques and statistical analysis.
  • Project management and business development experience with proven ability to overcome objections.
  • Extensive working knowledge of BMS and control theory.
  • Ability to carry out full feasibility studies of energy technologies.
  • Proven ability in the analysis and presentation of energy-related data.
  • Knowledge of customer operations, business drivers, financials, and legislative requirements.

Role Overview

To provide strategic energy management across the Client Portfolio, by introducing supply and demand energy reduction strategies, full energy compliance and holistic approach to energy expansion and renewable technologies. To ensure the effective management of energy resources to meet both EMCOR and the Clients objectives and targets.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, implement and maintain strategic Energy Policy across the Estate.
  • Develop and Promote corporate energy strategy, in line with business needs.
  • Work closely with Facility Managers, Contract Managers and Senior Managers to promote Energy saving solutions and manage Energy related topics.
  • Develop Energy awareness campaigns in line with the Clients needs and EMCOR facilities staff.
  • Develop and advise on energy strategy/solutions, developing these into working projects, which meet client objectives and best practice across the contract.
  • Promote policy and achievements to emphasize how they contribute to its success.
  • Develop and implement strategic briefs for design guides /standards to meet the client objectives and brief client departments accordingly.
  • Provide full feasibility studies of costed initiatives / projects to reduce energy usage.
  • Provide monitoring and verification through the full cycle of the project to achieve cost and energy efficient solutions.
  • Provide monitoring and targeting processes and procedures across the Estate.
  • Implement and maintain processes and procedures to achieve economic cost in use.
  • Carry out macro Energy audits, making recommendations for change and implementing such changes.
  • Promote and maximise Business Transformation.
  • Maintain a current level of utility market intelligence.
