Key Responsibilities:
- Design proposals for EDU development
- Package assessments on concept proposals
- Concept development to ensure credibility of proposal
- Investigation of potential incremental improvements for consideration in future developments or upgrades
- On-cycle issue resolution
- Supporting cross-functional teams to generate potential design solutions to be considered by the D&R and integration squads
- Helping to identify design optimisation opportunities for implementation at later design freezes
- Assembly management and drawing creation
- Management of 3D assemblies
- Creation of detailed component and assembly drawings for manufacture
- Standards, processes and tool development
- Full utilisation of current toolset
- Help to identify standards, processes and tools to develop
- Ensure alignment with standards and best practices
- Highlighting potential weaknesses and opportunities
Key Skills:
- Experience of 3D modelling tools and techniques, preferably in CATIA V6
- Working knowledge of GD&T and general drafting
- Knowledge in delivering innovative design solutions
- Experience in project management and issue resolution
- Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred
