Summary: The Fluid Lines Designer role involves creating innovative hydraulic, coolant, and air conditioning solutions for compact wheel loaders within a leading engineering team. The position requires collaboration with global teams and managing design changes throughout the engineering life cycle. Strong 3D CAD skills and problem-solving abilities are essential for delivering high-quality designs. The role is a full-time, temporary contract based in Desford, Leicestershire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop fluid line installations, including routing of hoses/tubes, adapter selection, and mounting arrangements.
- Collaborate with global teams, suppliers, and cross-functional departments to deliver designs into production that meet quality, cost, and schedule targets.
- Manage design changes through the full engineering life cycle.
- Communicate progress and technical details through reports and presentations.
Key Skills:
- Strong 3D CAD skills in fluid line modelling (ideally CREO).
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning/tolerancing and engineering data management (ideally Teamcenter).
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative, practical solutions.
- Experience converting customer needs into technical specifications.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
