Key Responsibilities:
- Support the ELS team in case managing Employment Tribunal claims and TUPE.

- Assist the Employment Legal Advisor in preparing responses for tribunal claims.
- Engage with witnesses to ensure factual responses to claims.
- Prepare early case assessments to identify merits and risks of claims.
- Support the ER team by checking contracts of employment and providing references.
- Assist with Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs).

We have a great opportunity to join the HR family at Travis Perkins plc as a Employment Legal Services Assistant on a 13 month fixed term basis adding value to the Employee Legal Services team and providing administrative support to a number activities. This role is hybrid working and expectation would be to visit our Head Office in Northampton around 3 days a week.
What You’ll Do
As the Employment Legal Services Assistant you will support admin support to the ELS team to case manage Employment tribunal claims and TUPE, co-ordinating activities, ensuring compliance with both legislation and the orders and directions of the Tribunal. In this role you will get involved in collating documents in respect to new Employment Tribunal claims and county court claims. You will support the Employment Legal Advisor in preparing responses for new tribunal claims whilst speaking with Witnesses to make sure our response is factual and addresses all heads of claim. You will assist in preparing an early case assessment, to identify the merits and potential risks of each claim. You will also support the ER team by checking contracts of employment, providing references and assisting with DSARs

To be considered for this role you will have had previous experience within a Shared Services role in a multi-site business, and have an interest in employment law. You need to have excellent communications skills, be confident, and a strong influencer with the ability to respectfully challenge or be challenged at all levels. Due to the nature of the role you will need to demonstrate your ability to multitask, work well under pressure within a fast paced environment and can handle complex issues.
