Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Global Employment Legal Team to ensure alignment and consistency in all regions where EA operates.
- Act as primary employment counsel for EA's operations in Sweden, Finland, Romania, and Czechia.
- Manage day-to-day employment law matters including hiring, performance management, termination, and investigations.
- Liaise with external employment counsel for litigation management and specific legal advice.
- Advise on workforce-related issues arising in transactions and corporate arrangements in Europe and Asia.
- Support global employment projects from an employment law perspective.
- Collaborate with Employment team members to support their EU territories as necessary.

We are looking for an experienced employment attorney for a 9 month maternity coverage period. You will report to the Global Employment Lead, and you'll work directly with People Experience business partners providing front-line and strategic support on a wide variety of employment related subjects. This position is Hybrid from our Guildford (UK) office, 3-days in the office and 2-days working from home. Join us in driving the next revolution in games.
Role Responsibility Details
- Collaborate with the Global Employment Legal Team to ensure alignment and consistency in all regions where EA operates.
- Act as primary employment counsel for EA's operations in Sweden, Finland, Romania and Czechia. This will include managing all types of day-to-day employment law matters, like hiring; performance management and termination; wage and hour rules; disability accommodation; harassment, discrimination and bullying; contingent worker issues; investigations and related litigation.
- Liaise with external employment counsel where necessary to manage litigation or obtain advice on specific issues in the above territories.
- Advise on employment or other workforce related issues arising in transactions and other corporate arrangements in Europe and Asia.
- Support several global employment projects from the employment perspective.
- Collaborate with other members of the Employment team to support their EU territories, as necessary.
General Qualifications
You are a practising attorney at a senior level in employment law in an in-house legal department or law firm. Qualified solicitor in the UK. Proficiency with applicable laws relating to employment matters in the relevant territories. Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters. Experience working cross-functionally with the business and legal teams. Partnering with all levels of management and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
