Summary: The role of Employee Relations Specialist/HR Business Partner involves providing expert guidance on employee relations issues within a global professional services company. The position requires managing employee relations cases and supporting various projects during a restructuring phase. The successful candidate will be proactive in building relationships with stakeholders and advising on best practices. This is a temporary contract role lasting 3-6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and coaching to managers on a wide range of employee relations issues, ensuring the interpretation of policies and procedures is clear and consistent.
  • Manage employee relations cases effectively, including investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances, capability assessments, absence management, flexible working requests and employment tribunal cases.
  • Monitor trends in employee relations cases and contribute to routine reporting for HR teams and senior management.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to maintain a consistent, fair, and inclusive approach to employee relations.
  • Support restructure projects, acting as first point of contact for queries and subject matter expert on individual and collective redundancy processes.
  • Provide documentation, administration and coordination of meetings.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven experience in an employee relations or HR generalist role, with a strong background in case management and project delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and best practices.
  • Experience in financial or professional services environment would be beneficial.

We are partnered with a global professional services company in their recruitment of an Employee Relations Specialist or HR Business Partner with a strong Employee Relations leaning. This will be a varied and hands on role supporting the business with all aspects of Employee Relations as well as on various projects due to restructure.
