Summary: The Electrical Technician role is a full-time, site-based position in Burghfield, Reading, focused on installation, testing, and commissioning within a high-profile nuclear engineering project. The technician will be responsible for various electrical tasks, including cable management and equipment setup, while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates must possess relevant certifications and experience in nuclear or power generation environments. This position is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installing tray, conduit, trunking, and cabling
• Glanding, terminating, and identifying cables & cores
• Conducting inspection & testing (Dead & Live tests)
• Earthing, bonding, and panel installations
• Setting up 3-phase motors, isolators & emergency stop circuits
• Installing electrical devices and instrumentation as per RAMS
• Assisting in commissioning & setting to work (preferred)

Key Skills:

• ECS/CSCS Card - Mandatory for site access
• Security Clearance (SC or DV) - Essential for site access
• Experience in site installations within Nuclear/Power Generation environments (Highly preferred)
