Summary: This role is for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer on a contract basis, expected to last 6 months with a possibility of extension. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support facilities distribution activities through reactive and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Work alongside the existing team of maintenance engineers.
  • Maintain a variety of distribution equipment including conveyors, cranes, and wrappers.
  • Collaborate with the permanent engineering team to ensure operational efficiency.

Key Skills:

  • HNC/HND level qualification in electrical engineering.
  • Level 3 NVQ in a work-based competency qualification.
  • Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working at height, with relevant certifications preferred.
  • Willingness to work on both reactive and planned preventative maintenance jobs.

Detailed Description From Employer:

Contract opportunity Expected 6 month contract (open to 3 month with 3 month extension) £35 per hour Outside IR35 4on, 4off (days & nights) Experience of working in a fast-paced, automated, distribution environment or similar? I am looking to speak with experienced, electrically biased, maintenance engineers for a new contract position with a company based in the Glasgow region. Working on a 4 on, 4 off rotation, you will be required to work alongside the existing team of maintenance engineers on both reactive and preventative tasks in supporting the facilities distribution activities. The client, a large manufacturing business, needs additional support for a likely period of 6 months. You will be working in partnership with the existing permanent engineering team to maintain a variety of distribution equipment including conveyors, cranes and wrappers. Due to site regulations, you MUST hold an HNC/HND level qualification as well as a Level 3 NVQ (minimum) You must have both qualifications in order to be considered for this role. The NVQ must be a work based competency qualification such as part of an Apprenticeship or standalone NVQ. Key requirements: Proven experience of working in a similar maintenance engineering role Strong fault-finding and problem solving skills Ability and willingness to work on both reactive and PPM jobs You must be happy and have previous experience of working at height and any qualifications/certifications in this field would be highly beneficial.
