Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Work on high-speed food process, production, and packaging machinery.
• Perform fault finding and repair work on industrial plant equipment and site services.
• Conduct mechanical repairs on conveyors, drives, shafts, pumps, and compressors.
• Promote a continuous improvement culture with lean manufacturing principles.
• Engage in electrical and mechanical fault finding and planned maintenance.
• Participate in project work including machinery upgrades and new installations.
• Work with fillers, labellers, palletisers, sealers, pneumatics, PLCs, hydraulics, motors, gearboxes, power presses, printers, and forming machines.

Key Skills:

• Electrically biased maintenance engineer.
• Time-served apprenticeship with a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
• Practical experience in a food, FMCG, or packaging environment.
• PLC electrical fault-finding skills.
• Comfortable with large mechanical work, fault finding, and repair.
• Able to carry out both electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Experience with industrial mechanical systems.
• Able to work on pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, and gearboxes.
