Summary: The role of Electrical Draftsman (CAD) involves creating and managing electrical drawings for a significant industrial project, ensuring compliance with UK standards. The position requires collaboration with the engineering team to produce Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and layouts. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting various electrical systems and maintaining accurate records of design changes. This is a 10-month contract position based in Flintshire, Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and update electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Create and review SLDs as per project and UK regulations.
• Draft LV cabling layouts, lighting, lightning protection, and ELV systems, including Fire Alarm Systems, Security Systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), and Data & Communication Networks.
• Coordinate with engineers, BIM teams, and project managers.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with UK electrical codes.
• Maintain records of design changes and approvals.
• Support construction teams with up-to-date drawings.

Key Skills:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
• Experience as an Electrical Draftsman (CAD) in construction/engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
• Strong knowledge of SLDs, LV/ELV systems, and UK electrical standards.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
