Summary: We are looking for an experienced Elastic Search SIEM Project Tester to join our team in Birmingham, UK. The role involves performing both functional and non-functional testing to ensure the effectiveness of our SIEM solution. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and practical experience with Elastic Search and SIEM systems. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring 2-3 days in the office each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform functional testing for new and existing features of the SIEM solution.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Verify system components such as data ingestion, correlation, alerting, and reporting.
  • Identify, report, and track defects and issues.
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
  • Conduct regression testing to maintain existing functionality.
  • Perform performance and security testing to evaluate system reliability and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Document test results and provide actionable feedback to the development team.
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Assist with the automation of testing processes where applicable.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in testing SIEM solutions, particularly with Elasticsearch.
  • Strong understanding of functional and non-functional testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in testing tools such as TestNG, JMeter, Selenium, and RestAssured.
  • Knowledge of API testing using Postman.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Understanding of Helm for managing Kubernetes deployments.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for test automation is preferred.
