Summary: The Domestic Abuse Assessor role involves working with a Local Authority in the Macclesfield area to provide proactive support to high-risk victims of domestic abuse. The position requires conducting risk and needs assessments, coordinating multi-agency involvement, and managing individual Care Plans. This contract role is full-time, with the potential for extension into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out risk and needs assessments with those experiencing domestic abuse to determine specific client needs and urgency of response.
  • Implement, coordinate, and maintain individual Care Plans, acting as Care Manager to ensure services meet the identified needs.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and review individual Care Plans, modifying them as necessary to ensure ongoing support.
  • Negotiate and liaise with professionals, agencies, and relatives to maintain client safety, linking into MARAC and Specialist DV Court.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in Local Authority or Public Sector.
  • Knowledge of domestic abuse victim support.
  • Familiarity with MARAC (multi-agency risk assessment conference).
