Summary: The Director of Development Finance will lead financial operations for a joint venture focused on multi-phase regeneration projects in Central London. This role involves strategic financial modeling, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, with the potential for a permanent position after an initial 12-month contract. The successful candidate will work closely with C-suite executives and provide insights for decision-making at the board level. Key Responsibilities:
- Rigorously and confidently challenge commercial appraisals.
- Lead on financial modelling.
- Lead the review and interpretation of JV financial reporting and tracking against business plans, forecasts, and performance reports.
- Provide clear, insightful reporting to internal stakeholders and governance on JV financial health, risks, opportunities and performance against business plans.
- Ensure financial modelling and analysis from the JV partner is of high quality and consistency to underpin investment decision making.
- Internal business planning, capital re-forecasting and P&L reporting.
- Guide assurance and control of all financial matters in relation to JV completion arrangements.
- Development financial modelling and analysis.
- Act as a senior “critical friend” on all financial matters for the JV.
Key Skills:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with substantial PQE.
- Experience in multi-phase multiyear complex master development regeneration projects.
- Expert financial modelling and analysis skills, including experience in interrogating and adapting complex real estate models.
- Ability to consider all business-wide implications and elevate complex issues.
- Significant experience in detailed project financials and technical appraisal.

Director of Development Finance 12 month contract to perm up to £130,000 per annum Hybrid Working (3 days in the office) Central London Extensive experience in multi-phase multiyear regeneration projects We are seeking a Director of Development finance to spearhead a newly created role that is part of a joint venture partnership. It is a unique opportunity to provide the financial foundation and growth of an ambitious new project. This position offers you the rare chance to be part of something from the outset and collaborate with C-suite executives from both partner organisations. As Director of Development Finance, you will be strategic and proactive in identifying commercial opportunities to drive value. You will provide challenge to the external Development Managers and JV partner and clear insight for Board and operational committee decisions. We're looking for a senior finance professional for initially a 12 month contract with a view to converting to permanent. Ideally you will be available at short notice, however please still apply if you have a longer (2-3 month) notice period.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have the following:
Experience: Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with substantial PQE Experience in multi-phase multiyear complex master development regeneration projects Financial Modelling: Expert financial modelling and analysis skills, including experience in interrogating and adapting complex real estate models for analysis and understanding, as well as building bespoke models Commercial Awareness Ability to consider all business-wide implications and elevate complex issues. You will be able to dentify opportunities, and manage risks. Financial Acumen: Significant experience in detailed project financials and technical appraisal, including drafting technical recommendations and business plans for Board-level decision materials. YOu will also understand of legal arrangements and contracts in relation to multi-entity JV’s. Relationship Building Strong relationship building skills and stakeholder influencing skills. You will operate with credibility and gravitas at all levels of the business including Board level Leadership: Leading others by sharing your knowledge and mentoring, when required, in development finance and master planning.
