Summary: The Senior DevOps Engineer role in Leeds involves joining a skilled engineering team to enhance a large-scale enterprise observability platform while transitioning from Splunk. The position focuses on cloud infrastructure management using Terraform across Azure and AWS, alongside supporting service migrations and developing monitoring solutions. This contract role is inside IR35 and requires strong collaboration and communication skills. The contract duration is between 3 to 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance a large-scale observability platform.
- Help engineering teams onboard and migrate their services.
- Build and maintain dashboards, log pipelines and alerting.
- Develop and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform across Azure and AWS.
- Produce technical documentation and operational guidance.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and an on-call support rota.
Key Skills:
- Strong DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience.
- Strong Azure and AWS expertise.
- Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with enterprise observability tools, either Grafana and Splunk.
- Proven experience supporting platform or cloud migrations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams.
