Summary: The Exadata Database Administrator (DBA) role requires a senior-level professional with extensive experience in Oracle database technologies, particularly on Exadata platforms. The candidate will be responsible for administering, optimizing, and migrating databases while ensuring high availability and performance. Additional expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite and cloud environments is preferred. This position is fully remote and targets individuals with a strong technical background in database management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, optimize, and maintain Oracle Exadata systems, including storage cells, compute nodes, InfiniBand/RoCE networking, and ASM.
- Design and optimize VM layouts on Exadata (KVM/OEDA) based on specific workload and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with core infrastructure teams on resource allocation, networking, and storage configurations to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Perform routine health checks, proactive patching, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
- Lead end-to-end database migrations to Exadata, including planning, assessment, execution, and validation.
- Perform complex database upgrades and comprehensive patching (GI, RDBMS, PSU/CPU) alongside post-migration tuning.
- Implement robust backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, Data Guard, and Exadata snapshots.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth maintenance cutovers with minimal downtime.
- Execute efficient database cloning using RMAN, Data Guard, snapshots, and storage-level techniques.
- Manage non-production environment refreshes to ensure total consistency across development, test, and QA systems.
- Drive efficiency by automating cloning and refresh processes wherever feasible.
- Support Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) environments, including database tier tuning, patching, cloning, and assisting with ADOP cycles.
- Support hybrid architectures involving Exadata on-prem and cloud platforms (AWS/OCI). Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and migration strategies involving AWS (RDS, EC2, S3) or OCI (DB Systems, Exadata Cloud Service).
Key Skills:
- 8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with at least 4+ years dedicated to working directly on Exadata platforms.
- Strong, expert-level knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, and deep performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale database migrations and environment management.
- Solid understanding of Linux administration as it relates to heavy Oracle workloads.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for critical production systems.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Exadata Database Administrator (DBA) with deep expertise in Oracle database technologies and hands-on experience managing, optimizing, and migrating databases on Exadata platforms.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge of Exadata architecture, database cloning, performance tuning, and VM layout design. If you have additional experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and navigating cloud environments like AWS and OCI, you will be a perfect fit for our team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Exadata Administration & Infrastructure Design
Administer, optimize, and maintain Oracle Exadata systems, including storage cells, compute nodes, InfiniBand/RoCE networking, and ASM.
Design and optimize VM layouts on Exadata (KVM/OEDA) based on specific workload and performance requirements.
