Summary: A leading organization is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to enhance and streamline its cloud and development platforms. The role involves driving automation, improving infrastructure delivery, and collaborating with various teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions. This position is hybrid, requiring monthly travel, and is classified as inside IR35 with a daily rate of £550. The contract duration is initially set for six months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, Terraform, and ARM templates across Azure environments.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Deploy, configure, and support Azure Networking components, including Virtual Networks (VNETs), Virtual WAN (VWAN), VPN Gateways, Azure Firewall, and Network Security Groups (NSGs).
- Collaborate closely with Cloud, Development, and Security teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure DevOps and cloud solutions.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of development and production environments.
- Automate operational processes to improve system reliability and platform efficiency.
- Support and troubleshoot complex platform, deployment, and cloud networking issues across both cloud and hybrid environments.
- Drive DevOps best practices and advocate for modern automation, security, and cloud deployment methodologies.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role within a cloud-focused environment.
- Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Extensive practical experience with Infrastructure as Code: Bicep, Terraform, and ARM templates.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Azure Networking, including: VNETs, VWAN, VPN Gateways, Azure Firewall, Load Balancers, NSGs, and routing.
- Hybrid connectivity and secure cloud architecture design.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps, including pipelines, version control, and release processes.
- Strong scripting abilities with PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent.
- Demonstrable ability to manage both cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Desirable: Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Windows Server platforms.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- All candidates must be based in the UK.
