Summary: The role of DevOps Developer at a leading investment bank involves joining the Fixed Income strategic risk infrastructure team to enhance the development environment. The successful candidate will focus on building and managing infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines, to improve developer productivity and efficiency. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting and leveraging AI to streamline processes. This position requires a strong background in software development and hands-on experience with various programming languages and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will join the SDLC team and will be responsible for building new and expanding existing infrastructure that drives the entire developer workflow for the platform.
  • Continuously improve developer productivity and efficiency and shorten time-to-market by eliminating manual points.
  • Build tools to perform data aggregation and pattern recognition, run tests, troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues to help identify root causes, recover from failures more efficiently, and display all this with a coherent UX.
  • Explore how to leverage AI to help streamline much of this process.

Key Skills:

  • 3+ years of full-time experience with a strong background in software development for Agile and DevOps projects.
  • Hands-on development experience using Java, Python, or Scala.
  • Proficiency in Application Release Automation tools, Build Automation Tools (Gradle, Ant) and IDE (IntelliJ).
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and continuous Delivery/ Deployment, with proficiency in JIRA, Jenkins, and TeamCity. Exposure to Groovy is a plus.
  • Proficient in GIT/ Bitbucket administration with a sound understanding of branching models/workflows, merge/conflict resolution, etc.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS or Azure) and Docker is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related IT Discipline or equivalent experience.
