Summary: The role involves recruiting 70 Detailed Designers for a contract position within a significant maritime engineering project in Canada. These designers will be responsible for delivering design solutions, coaching early career designers, and ensuring quality management in their outputs. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering design solutions in line with the design intent and considering all stakeholders.
• Working within established design constraints and managing non-adherence through appropriate processes.
• Coaching and guiding trainees and early career designers.
• Performing self-checks and peer checks of engineering outputs.
• Managing personal workload effectively to meet schedule requirements.
• Supporting team leaders in scheduling and tasking the work of the team.
• Engaging with detail design stakeholders to ensure effective communication and design integration.
• Assisting customers during the approval process for spatial design.

Key Skills:

• Proven technical capability and experience in detail design processes and Design Management Systems.
• Ability to work as part of a team with technical autonomy.
• Experience in carrying out audits and checks of Detail Designers' outputs.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
• Effective time management skills and proficiency in tools to meet schedule requirements.
