Summary: The Legal Counsel role is a generalist position focusing on consumer protection law and commercial contracting within a global organization. The position involves advising on legal questions related to product development, drafting and negotiating agreements, and collaborating with various stakeholders. This role requires a proactive approach to legal advice and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. The position is part-time, requiring 30 hours per week with one day in the Manchester office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on legal questions related to product development and user experience.
- Draft and negotiate simple commercial agreements and manage contract templates.
- Create guidance documents and training materials for internal teams.
- Provide legal advice on consumer protection and e-commerce regulations.
- Review and amend consumer terms and conditions and website conditions of use.
- Research new consumer and commercial topics and provide pragmatic legal advice.
- Support the implementation of legal tech solutions for efficient contracting processes.
