Summary: The Design Programme Manager (DPL) plays a pivotal role in the Vehicle Design Programme Management team, acting as a creative enabler to drive the delivery of the Design Vision from concept to production. This position requires effective cross-functional collaboration and accountability for program activities, ensuring alignment with business priorities and Agile methodologies. The DPL will lead non-creative activities, manage risks, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of programs. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and high performance within the Vehicle Design team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and enable the Vehicle Design team to successfully deliver the Design Vision.
- Lead and manage all non-Creative activities to ensure successful delivery of programs.
- Represent Vehicle Design at Vehicle/Group level, collaborating with various teams.
- Communicate program content clearly, including changes and approved studies.
- Track, measure, and report metrics to achieve program deliverables.
- Manage and resolve risks, issues, and impediments swiftly.
- Develop and communicate credible plans against departmental priorities.
- Ensure consistency of program timing and escalate resource issues as needed.
- Guide the team on asset requirements based on program deliverables.
- Ensure all activities align with Agile ways of working.
- Share lessons learned to foster a high-performing team.
- Lead process improvement initiatives for the Vehicle Design Programme Management team.
