Summary: The role is for a DB2 Database Administrator (DBA) based in London, requiring expertise in migrating databases from AIX to Linux and managing HADR setups. Key Responsibilities:

  • Migrate databases from AIX to Linux using various methods.
  • Manage Q Replication and HADR setups with multiple standby systems.
  • Capture and replay workloads for testing and right-sizing DB2 VMs.
  • Optimize DB2 process and memory architecture.
  • Tune performance using DBM/database configuration and registry variables.
  • Utilize data movement utilities such as db2move, Export, Import, and Load.
  • Implement DB2 Federation.
  • Automate complex Shell scripts.
  • Perform DB2 restore and redirected restore operations in both DPF and non-DPF setups.
  • Understand DB2 DPF (Database Partitioning Feature) systems.
