Summary: The Database Administrator role within the Cloud Team focuses on delivering cloud-related database services and products to internal customers. Responsibilities include end-to-end database support, monitoring, incident response, and ensuring the availability and performance of databases in both Public and Private Cloud environments. The position also emphasizes automation, observability, and collaboration with development teams to enhance database operations and drive DevOps practices. The role requires expertise in database management and a proactive approach to incident resolution and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide end-to-end database support for cloud services, including monitoring and incident response.
• Monitor databases to ensure availability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Follow incident, change, release, and problem management processes.
• Participate in root cause analysis of incidents and drive improvements in stability.
• Manage database backup and recovery, access rights, and version control.
• Implement database maintenance plans and ensure optimal production configurations.
• Set up monitoring and alerting tools for database observability.
• Advise on best practices for production operation of Database PaaS environments.
• Participate in on-call rota for incident management.
