Summary: The Data Warehouse Specialist Developer role involves supporting the implementation of an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) by maintaining and developing the Data Warehouse and BI architecture. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop the Data Warehouse and BI architecture.
  • Map data flow from ETL into the Data Warehouse and re-engineer reports.
  • Ensure seamless integration of the newly structured data pipeline with operational and reporting needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing and validation to mitigate transition risks to the EPR.
  • Liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • Postgres / Wherescape development experience.
  • Experience in a Data Warehouse or Informatics environment within the NHS.
  • Development experience with SQL (including T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS & SSAS) or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience working with and reporting to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing technical staff.
  • Expert knowledge of Data Warehousing techniques and principles.
  • Expert knowledge of either Microsoft SQL Server (including SSIS, SSRS & SSAS) or PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to discuss complex technical and business process issues appropriately for technical and non-technical audiences.

Job Title: Data Warehouse Specialist Developer x 2

Location: Working from home/hybrid – attending site will be infrequent, however there may be a requirement to attend site on occasion (Salisbury)

Contract length: Up to 6 months

2 Data Warehouse Specialists to join the organisation to support their significant and exciting journey towards implementing and sharing an Electronic Patient Record (EPR)

Working to achieve a set of agreed objectives, the post holder will be responsible for the maintenance and development of the Data Warehouse and BI architecture including performance, maintainability and scalability along with a secure, governed and well architected data infrastructure.

The primary focus will be to map the Data Flow from ETL into the Data Warehouse and re-engineered reports ensuring seamlessly integration to ensure the newly structured data pipeline aligns with the Trust’s operational and reporting needs.

This will include comprehensive testing and validation to mitigate any risks associated with the transition to the EPR.

There will be a requirement to liaise heavily with a wide range of internal and external Stakeholders, therefore the post holder will be engaging and enthusiastic and must possess good communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to effectively communicate complex information.
