Summary: The role of Product Manager for Data Science & GenAI focuses on leading a transformative project within the insurance sector, utilizing Google Cloud AI tools to enhance various business processes. The position involves driving strategy, development, and deployment of AI-powered solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to deliver impactful AI models that improve underwriting, claims automation, and customer experience. This is a 6-month contract classified as outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the AI product strategy, roadmap, and success metrics.
  • Work with Data Science and Engineering teams to build and scale GenAI applications for insurance use cases.
  • Oversee the integration of Google Cloud AI tools (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Gemini API) into core business processes.
  • Engage with underwriters, actuaries, claims teams, and risk analysts to ensure AI-driven insights are actionable.
  • Ensure compliance with AI governance, ethical AI principles, and industry regulations (GDPR, FCA, EU AI Act).
  • Stay ahead of AI trends in insurance, driving innovation in risk modelling, claims automation, and customer personalization.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Contractor in Product Management leading AI, Data Science, or GenAI initiatives in insurance.
  • Strong understanding of Google Cloud AI tools (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Gemini API) and their application in insurance.
  • Track record of delivering AI-powered products from concept to deployment in a regulated environment.
  • Ability to translate complex AI models into practical business applications for underwriting, claims, and fraud detection.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry workflows, regulatory requirements, and AI-driven transformation trends.
  • Experience with LLMs, NLP, and predictive analytics in insurance is a plus.
