Summary: The Data Modeller (SQL) role at a global consulting firm requires a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in data modeling and database architecture. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize data models and database architectures.
- Utilize SQL for query optimization, indexing, and stored procedures.
- Implement relational and dimensional data modeling techniques.
- Utilize data modeling tools such as Erwin or ER/Studio.
- Ensure compliance with banking and financial data structures and reporting standards.
- Manage data governance, metadata, and data lineage tracking.
- Work with cloud data platforms like AWS Redshift and Azure Synapse.
- Design ETL/ELT processes and integrate data warehousing best practices.
- Develop risk and compliance data models in line with regulatory frameworks.
- Apply Data Vault modeling and modern data warehouse architectures.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in data modeling and database architecture.
- Expertise in SQL, including optimization and stored procedures.
- Deep understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling.
- Proficiency with data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, ER/Studio).
- Strong knowledge of banking and financial data structures.
- Experience in data governance and metadata management.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google BigQuery).
- Experience with ETL/ELT design and data integration.
- Knowledge of risk and compliance data models (Basel III, IFRS 9/17).
