Summary: The Data Management Analyst role at an investment bank in Belfast focuses on supporting data management for Supervisory and Transaction Monitoring Controls. The position involves ensuring data quality governance, identifying data elements, and collaborating with business users for process improvements. The analyst will also develop mitigation strategies for data gaps and contribute to the overall data risk management framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying data elements for new and updated Conduct Risk Controls.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for internal and external data-related investigations.
  • Identifying, prioritising, and proactively managing data-related dependencies, risks, exceptions, and issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Collaborating with business end users to ensure proper integration of functions and defining system enhancements and automation for process improvements.
  • Developing and implementing mitigation strategies to address known data gaps and deficiencies promptly and effectively.
  • Contributing to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the overall data risk management framework.
  • Gaining comprehensive knowledge of key databases, architecture, and infrastructure to support business objectives.
  • Resolving high-impact issues and projects through detailed evaluation and investigation of complex logic, data, and system processes.
  • Developing project artifacts as needed, including Business Requirements Documentation (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documentation (FRDs), test plans, user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios, and project plans for key technical deliverables.
  • Providing quality control information before responding to stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the creation of suitable KPIs and metrics for stakeholders.
