Summary: This role seeks an experienced Data Business Analyst to contribute to a significant digital transformation initiative within the public sector. The analyst will focus on enhancing data governance practices, evaluating business systems, and providing recommendations for data management improvements. The position requires collaboration with the Enterprise Data Governance team and involves various support tasks, including updating SharePoint and producing newsletters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and enhancement of Data Governance practices.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to data governance within business systems and processes.
• Model current processes, and create models of future state processes.
• Provide recommendations for data management improvements related to new or changed processes, technologies, and organisational needs.
• Escalate concerns and issues, and collaborate with the Enterprise Data Governance team to address feedback and produce products required.
• Updating SharePoint site, monitor the team mailbox and produce monthly newsletters.
• Supporting show and tell sessions as required.

Key Skills:

• At minimum of 3 years of experience in Data management, IT, Design, Analysis or Software Development.
• Confidence in contributing new ideas and approaches to Data Governance and project environments.
• Knowledge and experience of agile methodologies, data analysis and modelling.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Competent using Microsoft tools.
• Familiar with DAMA Book of Knowledge, JIRA and Confluence.
• Previous experience working in the security forces / defence sector would be very beneficial.
• Active SC or willing to undergo SC Clearance.
