Summary: The Data Business Analyst - ETL & API (Payments) role involves collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet customer needs. The position requires a solid understanding of data transfer, APIs, and ETL processes, along with experience in Agile methodologies. The role is based in Northampton and is offered as an initial contract until the end of 2025. The candidate will be expected to contribute to various aspects of business analysis, including operational model design and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate during ideation to create ideation packs and problem statements to drive alignment and define business objectives.
- Develop epics, user stories, and feature stories forming a prioritised backlog based on user needs and journeys.
- Design operational models focused on customer outcomes, detailing impacts, operating models, and legacy documentation for future changes.
- Support design discussions, resolving conflicting requirements, ensuring traceability, and contributing to acceptance criteria.
- Quantify the business impact of technology changes, aiding communication, business readiness, and transition planning.
- Consolidate stakeholder viewpoints into a unified business need, balancing value, risk, compliance, and user experience.
- Provide best practice guidance using experience in process, technology, and regulation to support sound decision-making.
Key Skills:
- Solid understanding of data transfer, APIs, and ETL processes.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and technical knowledge of API design, Microservices Architecture (MSA), integration and interface design, and reusable APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud-based applications.
- Industry knowledge in Payments and Payment technologies.
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
- Working knowledge of Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
- Lifecycle management understanding.
- Awareness of business analysis frameworks and practices.
- Hands-on experience performing Business Analysis in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Good knowledge of financial regulations.
