Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high levels of resident satisfaction through effective communication and compliance with legal standards.
  • Supervise and manage works to control quality and costs, ensuring delivery to high standards.
  • Maintain Property Services databases accurately and ensure value for money in all activities.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum further education qualification (HNC / HND / Degree) in a relevant field.

Are you an experienced surveyor with expertise in Damp & Mould?

Our Client, an affordable housing provider are seeking an experienced Damp & Mould Surveyor to join their property services team, to fulfil a 3 month temporary contract

The successful candidate will be responsible ensuring high quality of housing maintenance, completing property surveys including damp and mould inspections and diagnosis.

You will have excellent knowledge of Health & safety legislation as well up to date knowledge of all current statutory compliance regulations (asbestos, legionella, gas, electrical, fire safety)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage responsive and major works relating to damp and mould projects, service contracts from inception to completion in accordance with current legislation, including managing health and safety (CDM) and ensuring compliance with regulatory controls.
  • Performance management of the contractor delivering the repairs and planned works projects/contracts. Monitor contractors to ensure delivery of the programme according to set timescales, analysing data and reporting on performance against an agreed suite of key performance indicators on a monthly basis. Monitor and support the need on compliance and performance of the fire risk assessments and water/electrical/gas/lifts testing programmes.
  • Make technical decisions in relation and following property visits, creating work schedules on void properties, design/specification & contract management, quality control and one-off project management.
  • Deliver high levels of resident satisfaction, ensuring effective communication and that works are meeting the groups legal standards, obligatory responsibilities
  • Ensure works are supervised and managed effectively and that the quality and cost of works carried out are controlled.
  • Ensure works are delivered to a high standard and in line with statutory requirements and key performance indicators.
  • Ensure that Property Services databases are correctly maintained
  • Ensure you are always attaining value for money in all your activities

This is an exciting opportunity for someone from an affordable housing property background or a similar industry, to add real value to an organisation

You will ideally have a minimum further education qualification (HNC / HND / Degree) and / or relevant construction, maintenance or building related professional qualification.

You will also preferably have experience of working within a busy Maintenance / Property team working alongside a team of fellow surveyors and have experience of managing compliance issues and a sound knowledge of contract administration, Damp and Mould and building contract law and legislation.
