Key Responsibilities:

  • Document process maps in preparation for testing cycles and formalize business processes for GO live.

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Finance and Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW).
  • Experience in documenting process maps using Visio.
  • Deep understanding of D365 Finance and Operations functional implementation.
  • Knowledge of core business processes such as Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and others.
  • Welsh language skills are a plus but not essential.

Role responsibilities

  • Responsible for analysing business processes, gathering, and documenting requirements, ‘As is’ and ‘To Be’ process mapping and providing recommendations, solutions for implementation into D365 Finance and Operations (F&O) with project accounting and will work closely with the Global Process Owner and Implementation partner to design and configure solutions that meet the business needs and will support the user acceptance testing cycles with the D365 F&O Testing Manager.
  • Assist the project team by advising on appropriate solutions, along with alternative options and recommendations, all within Dynamics365 F&O and project accounting with heavy focus on core business processes such as Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report, Fixed Assets, , Stock Management, Cash and Bank, Credit & Collection, Intercompany and Consolidation by designing the proposed solutions using Visio.
  • Conduct workshops with stakeholders and the project team to analyse the “As Is” process and design solutions as the “To Be” process and detect any gaps that require improvements in process and promoting best practises and strong controls with segregation of duties for system driven processes that will ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Transform the business requirements into a technical and straightforward model by evaluating the need for a proposed solution that will utilise the systems process and automations to reduce manual interventions that will ensure the business processes are operating effectively and efficiently.
  • Support Configuration of processes in with the project team by documenting the process maps in readiness for the testing cycles that will then become the formalised business as usual process for when the implementation will be handed over to the business for the GO live phase that will ensure the system processes are operating effectively.

Who we’re looking for

  • Degree in Finance and Accounting or Equivalent Experience.
  • Professional accounting qualification e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW.
  • Experience of documenting process maps using Visio.
  • Deep understanding of functional implementation experience of D365 Finance and Operation (GL, AP, AR, Bank Management, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Project Accounting, Credit and Collection, Procurement, Inventory Intercompany and Consolidation modules etc).
  • Welsh Language Skills
  • The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role. Transport for Wales supports and promotes the use of the Welsh Language by employees and will encourage them to develop, improve and maintain their Welsh Language skills. We fully support our people who want to improve their Welsh language skills, and personal development for Welsh Language skills are offered in a variety of ways such as online learning, classroom courses and funding attendance at local community courses.
