Cyber Security Associate

Summary: The Cyber Security Associate at BACB will be a vital member of the newly established Cyber Security SOC, focusing on incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management. The role involves hands-on technical improvements and analysis of cybersecurity tools while refining departmental procedures. The successful candidate will enhance the effectiveness of the SOC's detection, triage, response, and reporting capabilities. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure robust security measures are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead deployment and daily operations of the SOC, including security events monitoring, detection, and response.
• Collect and analyze threat intelligence to identify potential and existing cyber threats.
• Oversee incident response processes and create incident playbooks.
• Conduct regular vulnerability scans and assessments across the IT environment.
• Supervise the deployment and operation of security tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Maintain documentation of vulnerability and incident management processes.

Key Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in vulnerability management or information security.
• Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity tools and technologies.
• Strong understanding of cyber threat intelligence and attack vectors.
• Proficiency in incident response frameworks (e.g., SANS, NIST).
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
