Summary: The Cyber Security Associate at BACB will be a vital member of the newly established Cyber Security SOC, focusing on incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management. The role involves hands-on technical improvements and analysis of cybersecurity tools while refining departmental procedures. The successful candidate will enhance the effectiveness of the SOC's detection, triage, response, and reporting capabilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead deployment and daily operations of the SOC, including security events monitoring, detection, and response.
- Collect and analyze threat intelligence to identify potential and existing cyber threats.
- Oversee incident response processes and create incident playbooks.
- Conduct regular vulnerability scans and assessments across the IT environment.
- Supervise the deployment and operation of security tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Maintain documentation of vulnerability and incident management processes.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in vulnerability management or information security.
- Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity tools and technologies.
- Strong understanding of cyber threat intelligence and attack vectors.
- Proficiency in incident response frameworks (e.g., SANS, NIST).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ preferred.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
